Steps of Bhramari Pranayama






  1. First of all, choose a clean place and sit in the Padmasan or Sukasan. Make your breath normal by making the mind calm.
  2. Now stretch your both hands together parallel to your shoulders, and then fold your elbows and bring your hands to your ears. Then close your eyes (eyes).
  3. After that, close your both ears with both fingers of your hands. (Note - should keep the waist, neck, and head fixed and straight while doing a bhalamari pranayama).
  4. Now put the first finger of your hands slightly above the eyes of the eyebrows. And put three other fingers on your eyes.
  5. Do not press both of your hands over and leave them alone. Make a small pressure on the nose with three-three fingers attached on both sides of your nose.
  6. After taking both hands properly, focus your mind (mind) behind your eyes. (I.e., focus on the Azaan cycle).
  7. And now keep your mouth closed and take your breathing in normal speed through your nose. Then exhale out the breath through the nose only by making a humming sound. (Important - this practice is to be completely stopped by the mouth).
  8. If you are prone to breathing out "breath" then the benefit of this pranayama increases.
  9. The time to take in breath should be about 3-5 seconds and the time to leave out should be 15-20 seconds.
  10. Bhramari Pranayam can also be performed by sitting on the chair. But this practice is more beneficial than sitting in Sudhasan or Padmasan in the morning.


Bhramari Pranayama Time Duration

It takes around 15-20 seconds to take about 3-5 seconds to breathe in and take out the illusionary sound. In about three minutes, it can be done for 5-7 times in the Bhramari Pranayama.


The new person should perform Bharmari Pranayama three to five times. After some time practicing this pranayama, one can do it from eleven to twenty-one times.
